We provide direct services for people that have experience with mental illness, peer support, education and training, advocacy, system navigation, Vocational programs and many other programs and supports. You can talk to us without any referrals. We are here for everyone.

Training Session: Isolation- Loneliness and Solitude

Description: Which comes first? Can loneliness result in social isolation or can social isolation result in loneliness? Or can we enjoy the solitude? This isn’t new with Covid 19. How do we protect our mental health too? Let’s learn together.

Training Session: Gambling and Tech, Social Media and the fear of Missing out.

Description: This session will cover various psychological phenomena observed in those who use social media and technology. The fear of missing out (FOMO), anxiety, and depression will be discussed as it relates to the design of popular apps.

Training Session: Living with bipolar
Trainer: Danielle Cameron
Description: In this 30 minutes session we will hear what its like to live with bipolar and ways people can help them on their road to recovery and beyond. We will touch on how to help at each stage before diagnosis, during diagnosis and after diagnosis. Do current events impact someone with bipolar?

Training Session: Psychological Health and Safety in the workplace
Trainer: John O’Connor
Description: Difficult Discussions uses live actors to help teach people how to react in stressful or uncomfortable situations. Scenarios include talking about mental health productively or suicide prevention. We focus on situations that a hard to prepare for so should they ever happen, you have more experience in what to do.

Description: With the changing times and the issues of social isolation we may be putting aside some of the traditional ways we deal with grief and loss. Della will be discussing the Healing Power of rituals and ceremony.

Training Session: Impact of Divorce on Children

Description: Separation/Divorce has a profound impact on all family members. Loss of security is often coupled with intense feelings of grief. The stress can be overwhelming for kids, teens and parents. In this session you will learn about the grieving process, ages, stages, signs of stress and how you can support your children while navigating through your own feelings of grieve.
