The Canadian Mental Health Association Moose Jaw Branch is looking for Peer Supporters both male and female to join our team in Moose Jaw.
Duties and responsibilities
The Peer Supporter will initiate, establish, and maintain relationships with peers while developing trust. Will act as a positive role model and mentor, he/she will also help peers with setting up goals, and work towards developing skills. He/she will share and discuss common experiences with clients, while making regular reports to the supervisor
Must be non judgemental and accepting of diversity
Must respect multiculturalism
Must provide criminal records check
and vulnerable sector check
Must provide driver’s abstract
Experience with mental health and recovery from mental illness and MUST be in recovery For at least one year.
Valid driver’s license
Education is preferred but not required
This position is paid with honorariums
